Because AromaBox R.T. Wonder (Respiratory Tract Wonder) was born to roam the respiratory system, he prefers to travel aromatically via diffuser, nasal inhaler, or steam inhalation. Ever dapper, R.T. always wears his signature blue scarf.

He’s strong and bold, a rugged, get the job done, sort of guy. AromaBox R.T. Wonder also has a soft side. He loves to begin his journey traveling up the nasal canal. He loves to travel up both sides. From there he takes a bit of time exploring the sinus cavities. From there he likes to go down through the pharynx and the larynx. You’ll find R.T. Wonder meandering down the trachea and swinging through the bronchial tree. He follows the branches to the left and the branches to the right. He loves to squirrel down through, all the way to the alveoli. Throughout his journeys, Wonder is gently traversing the terrain. As he kills off the invading tribes from Respiratory Land, he is guarding, protecting, and restoring the terrain all along the way.

Description

Just as the AromaBox travels the world, AromaBox 10/18 R.T. Wonder has roots from around the world. This diversity is what makes him a wonder for the entire respiratory tract. This diversity shows from batch to batch.

This combination is so delicately blended that it creates a little diversity with each batch change, just as each batch of single essential oil is a bit different. The largest part of his ethnicity is Canadian Black Spruce (Picea mariana) and is the note you get the most of. At times, his Philippine beginnings, Elemi (Canarium luzonicum), take center stage. I suspect his Italian Lemon (Citrus limon) boosts the scent of the Elemi. Scotch Pine (Pinus sylvestrous) hides behind the Black Spruce. He has a strength from his South African Copaiba (Copaifera langsdorfii), a calming, peaceful, mediating side due to his  American Coriander (Coriandrum sativum), and a gentle, nurturing, Napalese Palmarosa (Cymbopogon martini) to round out the blend.

Every time I treat my R.T. to a whiff of this beautiful blend, it seems to conjure up a exotic and comforting male presence into the room. It’s as if this male presence is a healing genie, patiently waiting for me to release it out of the bottle. Personally, I find that just taking a couple of whiffs of it out of a personal inhaler, or (dare I say), straight out of the bottle, is all that I need to wake me up, center me, and dissipate the aching grief my lungs carry for me.

What amazes me most about this blend, is that somehow Gigi took four essential oils, that to my mind, can easily run the risk of ruining the aroma of blends, and yet she worked magic with them. I’m guessing all those years when she was a practicing nurse gave her a special sense of how to get doses just right, so that substances act as harmonizing and healing agents instead of aggressive or offensive ones.

Well done, Gigi! I find this blend very inspiring as someone who is in the beginning stages of my blending education. I’m going to continue, “listening,” to this blend in order to learn all that I can.

    A.K.
