The AromaBox 2/18 Kit debuts our single use hand soaps, or soap slips, whichever you prefer to call them. We did these for a Lady’s Night function and they were a huge hit.
Your AromaBox 2/18 Kit comes with two packages. One is an envelope, the other is a bag containing 5 oz of glitterized glycerin soap shapes.
The envelope contains our wrap with brief instructions. Within this wrapper there are 3 half sheets of one design each, 2 half sheets that remain plain for you to create your own soap images, and three sheets of wax paper to lay your soap slips on to cool and harden.
The glitterized soap shapes are flowers and hearts. Shapes and number of pieces will vary. The glitter does settle when the soap is liquified so you will see more glitter on the front of the shapes. The glitter will not be overly noticeable. It will just make a shinier and more attractive single use soap slip. The soap does not contain any essential oil or fragrance. This allows you to put in your own favorite oil, blend, or even the special blend, “Up, Up, and Away” from Terrae Oleum that was featured in the box. Your choice of scent would be added after the melting of the soap and prior to dipping the paper.
Instructions from the wrapper:
(You will need a small spray bottle with Isopropyl Alcohol if desired. Please read directions and/or watch the video prior to beginning.)
A video demonstration of the procedure can be found at https://t.co/b0aODKIXAl on our new YouTube Channel.
-Cut out the designs leaving a tab for holding to dip into the hot soap.
-Lay out the wax paper
-Place the glycerin in your choice of vessel for melting. Be sure to have one with a wide enough opening to place your hand in.
-Either melt in a double boiler set-up or melt in a microwave safe bowl. If microwaving, please microwave in short bursts of 10-15 seconds. If you overheat, the soap will bubble up and potentially over the edge of your container. Extremely hot soap creates a lot of bubbles on the paper slip.
-Take your cut out design by the tab and dip it into the soap covering the design. Drip off excess and place on the wax paper. We have included 3 practice run pre-cut images.
-If you have bubbles, spray immediately with isopropyl alcohol.
-Allow to cool and dry. Remove shortly after drying. If you let it sit for any length of time, it is more difficult to remove.
-Gently peel off the wax paper.
-Cut off the tab. Trim any excess soap.
-Place in a cellophane bag, a plastic baggie, or a small container. Due to the nature of the soap and paper, avoidance of moisture, until in use, is necessary.
These adorable soap slips are great to carry in a purse. We hate it when the soap dispenser in a public restroom is empty or doesn’t work. They are great to pop in a gym bag. No soap bar in a case or bottle to carry in and no. No fuss, no mess. Grab a couple of slips and hit the shower. Going on a picnic or hiking, soap slips and a bottle of water equals cleaning anywhere, anytime. It bears repeating that the soap slips need to be placed in a cellophane bag or baggie or some sort of encasing that keeps them free of moisture.
