From the moment tha couple know they are pregnant, the joy, the dreams, and the hopes for the next addition to the family begins. Will it be a boy or a girl. What color eyes will the baby have? What color will the hair be? Will the baby be born with hair or be born bald? Will it be a boy or a girl? What name shall we choose? And the questions and wonderings go on and on. For most people, this leads to the glorious birth of a healthy baby. Pictures, feedings, coos, cuddles, cries, and diapers.
For others, the dream ends in devastation. The devastation may come during the pregnancy at any point or after the birth. This loss comes with a complicated grieving process that involves more than the loss of the baby.
Comfort 2 Cor. 1:4 was created as a gift for one such couple. The various oils were chosen for the emotional aspects they carry along with them. In my active time in nursing, I have been there to support and comfort many in the death of their loved ones, the loss of the dream, and the adjustment to life after.
