Precision

Sometimes, you just never know what your schedule will be and you need to be "on it" when you're needed. Replicated for an on-call doula, this blend is a great pick me up for the season and reason you need it.

Basil (Ocimum basilicum), Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum), Rosemary (Rosemary officinalis), Bergamot (Citrus bergamia), Rosewood (Aniba rosaeodora), Geranium (Pelargonium roseum), Peppermint (Mentha x piperita), Lemon (Citrus limon), Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata), Jasmine (Jasminum grandiflorum), Palmarosa (Cymbopogon martinii)and Roman Chamomile (Anthemis nobilis)

This is one of my favorite DeRu blends and Ruth can affirm that since I discovered it, I’ve been a heavy user! I keep a bottle of this at home, in my car, and at work. It is the best blend I have found for mental clarity and, well, as the label states, precision! I diffuse it in my car for 20 minute intervals when I need to stay sharp on long road trips. I diffuse it in the office in the morning (when I turn on my ‘happy light’ ) to start a Monday morning of meeting blitzes. I use it in the afternoon when I am trying to concentrate on reports and feeling tired. I diffuse on Saturday morning when I’m cleaning house. For me, it’s been a game changer! Not too strong, not too girly, it’s just right, I can wear it in a diffuser locket when I’m around others and it’s just lovely. I carry an aromastick when I’m flying. I would give it more stars than five!

Precision Safety Info

According to Tisserand and Young, bergamot in this blend makes it phototoxic if using topically. Ylang ylang is a known dermal sensitizer, not suggested for use on children under 2. Due to the 1,8 cineole in this blend, it should not be used on or near the face of children under 6.  Precision should Precision follow the safety guidelines below. ~ Source:  Tisserand, Robert and Young, Rodney. Essential Oil Safety: A Guide for Health Care Professionals: Churchill Livingstone; 2 edition (2013). Reading the full profile for each essential oil in Precision is highly suggested by your DeRu Staff.

While we’ve made this clear that we are selling this essential oil blend for use your diffuser, inhaler, or topically (diluted), it is a pure essential oil blend and can be used as such.  With all essential oil blends:

  • Never use them undiluted, in eyes or mucus membranes (this includes mouth, ear canals, noses, genital regions as well as internal areas).  The strength of essential oil blends can easily damage these soft tissue areas.
  • Do not take internally unless working with a qualified and expert practitioner.
    Keep away from children.
  • If applying an essential oil blend to your skin always perform a small patch test to an insensitive part of the body (after you have properly diluted the essential oil blend in an appropriate carrier).

  • Oral Safety is only given because many people have been told to take oils internally.  Because several people look to us for safety advice, we feel obligated to offer those safety statements, although we do not believe anyone should be ingesting extracts without being guided by an expert.  Experts will take your medical history into account before they suggest oils for you to ingest, diffuse, or use topically.

Information provided has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.

The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.
