Up, Up, and Away

Released in February 2018 for AromaBox™ subscribers to experience first . . . DeRu Extracts's Up, Up, and Away.  This daytime blend is the perfect addition to a morning ritual to uplift spirits and bring a bit of summertime into those dreary winters!  One of the AromaBox subscribers likened it to nature . . . which was exactly what we were shooting for.  Up, Up, and Away reminds us of sunshine, rain and earth ~ exactly what we needed when we're stuck inside due to cold, snow, and general yuck!

This blend offers "Sunshine. Rain. Earth" . . . . all in our signature blue bottle.

Enjoy your Up, Up, and Away today!

Up Up and Away is a proprietary blend of:  Lemon (Citrus limon), Ginger (Zingiber officinale), Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi), Buddha Wood (Eremophila mitchellii), Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum), Bergamot (Citrus bergamia), Lime (Citrus aurantifolia), Orange (Citrus sinensis), and Jasmine (Jasminum officinale)

I ordered this for my mother and she loves the smell.

  3. naturegirl321 (verified owner)

I got a free sample of this in my order. It came in a personal inhaler. It’s amazing. I absolutely love it. It smells like happiness to me. I love the citrus mixed with spice.

  4. Akshara Sai (verified owner)

Up Up and Away is exactly that! It lifts you up from the rigors of the way and whisks you away to a secret place deeper into yourself where worries have no place. By the end of this therapy session, you have a spring in your step and a smile on your face.

I love the spice of the ginger and the sweetness of the citruses. And in the midst of all this the jasmine peeks through delectably. You can’t smell it outright but you know it’s there and that’s where the lift off of this blend comes from. I got a 5 ml from the Aroma Box subscription and I know this is something I would love to order more of as I running out, because by golly, I’ll be running out soon.

It has become the trademark of most of my mornings

Up, Up, and Away Safety Info

Tisserand and Young note that there is a risk of phototoxicity due to the expressed citrus oils in this blend.  For topical use, we recommend no more than 1 drop per 5mL due to this risk. There are no safety precautions for inhalation/diffusing, which is what this blend was created for.  Up, Up, and Away should still follow the safety guidelines below. ~ Source:  Tisserand, Robert and Young, Rodney. Essential Oil Safety: A Guide for Health Care Professionals: Churchill Livingstone; 2 edition (2013). Reading the full profile for each essential oil in Up, Up, and Away is highly suggested by your DeRu Staff.

While we’ve made this clear that we are selling this essential oil blend for use your diffuser, inhaler, or topically (diluted), it is a pure essential oil blend and can be used as such.  With all essential oil blends:

  • Never use them undiluted, in eyes or mucus membranes (this includes mouth, ear canals, noses, genital regions as well as internal areas).  The strength of essential oil blends can easily damage these soft tissue areas.
  • Do not take internally unless working with a qualified and expert practitioner.
    Keep away from children.
  • If applying an essential oil blend to your skin always perform a small patch test to an insensitive part of the body (after you have properly diluted the essential oil blend in an appropriate carrier).

  • Oral Safety is only given because many people have been told to take oils internally.  Because several people look to us for safety advice, we feel obligated to offer those safety statements, although we do not believe anyone should be ingesting extracts without being guided by an expert.  Experts will take your medical history into account before they suggest oils for you to ingest, diffuse, or use topically.

Information provided has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.

The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.
