Gigi’s House Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”)  carefully before using deruextracts.com (“the Site”) operated by Gigi’s House (“us”, “we”, or “our”). This Agreement sets forth the legally binding terms and conditions for your use of the Site at deruextracts.com.

By accessing or using the Site in any manner, including, but not limited to, visiting or browsing the Site, purchasing from the Site, or contributing content or other materials to the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

The Site and its original content, features and functionality are owned by Gigi’s House and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

You may not reproduce this material whether by digital or physical without our written consent.  You may “share” our information through the share buttons on our site, which automatically attribute the information to Gigi’s House and this site.

In the event we have created a downloadable file link, you may print and share the file as long as you do not alter it in any way.  We may terminate your access to the Site, without notice, if our security or brand is at risk.  In the event that you have been banned from our site, you may contact us in an attempt to resolve the matter.

We highly encourage you to know your username and password as banning happens most often from repeated attempts to log in with incorrect credentials.  While we’d like to believe that we’re invincible, we are human.  We all know that humans aren’t perfect.  In the event that we’ve made an error in packing your order, we will correct it in a timely fashion.  Timely meaning, as quickly as we shipped your order to begin with.  We have been in those shoes and know how it feels.  And, we will not charge you for our mistake.  We will be responsible for any shipping in this case.

Having said that, it must be said that you are also human.  If the error is on your end, we have conditions of return.  You probably know by now that safety is our focus.  Due to that, we cannot accept opened product as a return unless gross error is proven (in that event, please refer to the above paragraph).  Obviously we cannot resell an oil that was opened outside our control.

If you do get an order and realize that you ordered the wrong item, DO NOT OPEN IT.  Instead, contact us to get a return authorization.  Once we have the item back in our possession and unopened, we will refund the purchase price.  You will be responsible for shipping the return to us in this case.

Please note that we offer very small samples at very small prices for each of our pure oils so that you have a chance to try them before you purchase larger bottles. These sample sizes are large enough for you to determine if the oil meets your needs both aromatically and therapeutically. You may also request up to four mini-samples with orders of full-sized bottles. Those will be sent at no charge, but we do reserve the right to limit free samples sent, depending on our current stock levels. After you check out contact us through our contact form immediately after ordering, listing the samples you’re requesting and the order number they should be sent with (you’ll see this number on the page you are redirected to after paying or in your account).  We ship through USPS Priority Mail and orders placed by 11:00 am EST will ship within 4 days.  This is usually sooner, but allows time for us to receive a product in the case of an accidental out of stock situation.

At this time, we only ship through USPS mail.  You will receive a tracking number for your package.  International customers will be responsible for all customs fees (including but not limited to taxes and duties).

We’re as worried about your online safety as we are about you using essential oils safely.  Those who are following our Facebook page can tell you that we warn about scams on and offline.  Bad things shouldn’t happen to good people!

For that reason, we prefer to have your actual payment handled by a site that’s set up for serious security.  We’re secure, but PayPal is more secure.  You do not have to have a PayPal account in order to pay by credit card through their system.  When you check out on our site, you will be redirected to the PayPal site where you can be assured that the security is at the utmost level.

After payment, you will be directed back to our site and it will show that your order has been placed.  You will also receive an email confirmation of the order and payment.  Our Site does contain links to third-party sites that are not owned or controlled by Gigi’s House.  While we make every attempt to link to safe sites, we can make no guarantees for another entity’s property.  Please use common sense, read other sites’ policies before using them.  Once you leave our site, we have no responsibility for your privacy or safety.  Gigi’s House has two kinds of affiliation.

1)  We are an affiliate for products that fall within our realm but not our actual stock (for instance, book recommendations).  We only recommend those products we’ve found highly valuable.

2)  We have affiliates who are in areas similar to ours.  These affiliates are hand-picked due to their care about proper use and safety.  At any time, if you witness one of our affiliates giving unsafe suggestions, please take a screenshot and inform us immediately.

For our affiliates:  You may not suggest any improper usage.  If you are proven by screenshot to be imparting unsafe usage, your affiliate membership will be terminated immediately and all unpaid commissions will be forfeited. You know it happens.  Someone skirts terms and they have to be changed to adjust.  We reserve the right to change these terms.  We encourage you to review these terms periodically.  If you don’t agree with the terms, don’t use the Site.
