For the Love of Running Safety Info

According to Tisserand and Young, lemongrass is contraindicated via all routes with CYP2B6 substrates this blend should be avoided with these drugs.  Spike Lavender may also be a neurotoxin and therefore we cautiously recommend not using on children under the age of 6.  For the Love of Running should still follow the safety guidelines below. ~ Source:  Tisserand, Robert and Young, Rodney. Essential Oil Safety: A Guide for Health Care Professionals: Churchill Livingstone; 2 edition (2013). Reading the full profile for each essential oil in For the Love of Running is highly suggested by your DeRu Staff.

This essential oil blend is for topical application, with all essential oil blends:

  • Never use them undiluted, in eyes or mucus membranes (this includes mouth, ear canals, noses, genital regions as well as internal areas).  The strength of essential oil blends can easily damage these soft tissue areas.
  • Do not take internally unless working with a qualified and expert practitioner.
    Keep away from children.
  • If applying an essential oil blend to your skin always perform a small patch test to an insensitive part of the body (after you have properly diluted the essential oil blend in an appropriate carrier).

  • Information provided has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.

The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.
